Getting a bit bored of just writing Sad Albums and getting suddenly into Melodies because I also suddenly got into A Relationship, and ALSO seeing the screenshots for early No Man's Sky previews and getting excited about the colours, I decided to write an album of sci-fi music, but not bleak, anxious, oppressive sci-fi music like I had done before, but bright, exciting, and warm sci-fi music within the context of alien-sounding synthesis. I wanted to make music for exploring alien worlds of purple grass and green skies.

I never did play No Man's Sky. Heard it wasn't great. But I still crave alien planets of such bright colours and characters and one day I will follow this album up.
